Do you have a catalogue or list of items I can choose from?
No, we don't have a catalogue, but we can help you get most items that ship within the United States (but don't ship to Canada).
Can I purchase items only available in-store?
At this time, we are only able to help you buy items that can be shipped to our U.S. warehouse or shipped directly to Canada. While we cannot purchase items that are only available to be picked up in-store, we can coordinate shipping with U.S. vendors by providing them with the required documentation and shipping labels to ship your items to Canada.
Will I receive a quote before purchasing items?
Yes, we'll provide you with a quote within 1 to 2 business days after you request your items. The quote will include the cost of the items and any vendor shipping fees, plus all international shipping fees, duties, and import/brokerage fees. HST/GST/PST will be added at checkout as they vary by province. The shipping cost of shipping from the US to Canada as well as the other fees will be broken down in the quote.
How quickly can you get items from the U.S.?
Upon receiving your request, we'll provide you with a quote within 1 to 2 business days. Once we receive payment for your order, your items will be ordered within 1 to 2 business days. In general, most items take 2 to 3 weeks to deliver, as it usually takes between 2 to 7 business days for items to arrive at our U.S. warehouse and another 1 to 2 weeks for us to import items to Canada from the US and deliver them to you. However, if you need your items sooner, we can ship your items by courier so that you'll receive them 1 to 3 days after they arrive at our U.S. warehouse.
What are your fees for shipping to Canada? Do you offer a flat rate fee for shipping?
The price for ordering items and shipping to Canada will vary based on your order's weight, dimensions and shipping address. We work with our shipping partners to provide competitive shipping costs. In most cases, the shipping fees for an order weighing under 5 lbs will be between $20 and $35. Our prices include all duties and taxes.
How can I avoid paying duties and taxes on my order? Do you have a tax free warehouse in the U.S?
Because all orders ship to New Hampshire where there is no sales tax, you will not have to pay U.S. sales tax on most orders. The exception to this is if the vendor shipping the order resides in an origin-based sales tax state. Depending on the items you order and your shipping address, you may have to pay Canadian GST/HST on your order. GST/HST will be paid upfront at the time of purchase and will be added at checkout as it varies by province.
Are there any items that you cannot purchase and ship to Canada?
We are able to purchase and ship most items from the US to Canada with the exception of any live or raw meat and produce, plants, alcohol, items that require refrigeration and any regulated items such as tobacco and medication. Heavyweight or oversized items may not be able to be shipped or may be subject to additional shipping costs.
What if I need to return items?
We would be happy to return your items and provide you with a full refund within 14 days of receipt with the exception of Final Sale items. Items must be unopened and in their original condition. If you would like to return items, please let us know and we'll provide you with a prepaid shipping label that you can use to return your items to us.
Is there a minimum amount I need to purchase to ship to Canada?
No, there is no minimum amount or quantity of items for any purchase.
Can I order multiple items at once? Do you offer package consolidation?
Yes, we highly recommend you purchase several items to save money on shipping costs! Although shipping from the US to Canada can be expensive, you can save on shipping costs by ordering multiple items at the same time as we can consolidate multiple packages from different vendors into a single box.
How fresh are the items? Are they new?
Yes, all items are brand new and unopened, unless stated otherwise. Where applicable, we will do our best to ensure that items are fresh and have expiry dates as far in the future as possible.
Is Wantboard a package forwarding service or a shipping forwarder?
Yes, we are a shipping forwarder / package forwarder that helps Canadian businesses, institutions and individuals get items from the U.S. Unlike most package forwarding services and freight forwarders, we look after the end-to-end experience of purchasing your items, receiving them at our U.S. warehouse and then shipping them to your address in Canada. If an issue occurs at any point, we will take responsibility and make sure that it gets fixed.
What are the expected delivery times after placing my order?
In general, most items take 2 to 3 weeks to deliver, as it usually takes between 2 to 7 business days for items to arrive at our U.S. warehouse and another 1 to 2 weeks for us to import items to Canada from the US and deliver them to you. However, if you need your items sooner, we can ship your items by courier so that you'll receive them 1 to 3 days after they arrive at our U.S. warehouse. We can provide you with more exact delivery times for when you place your order.
Which shipping carriers and services do you use?
We use FedEx Express and FedEx Ground when shipping from the US to Canada. We use FedEx Express, FedEx Ground, Canada Post Expedited Parcel and Canada Post Xpresspost when shipping within Canada. On request, we can also ship with Purolator. Estimated delivery times will be provided once your order has been shipped.
If I encounter issues with my order, who do I contact?
If you are not satisfied with your order, please contact Wantboard at email@example.com. Please do not contact the vendor or the manufacturer directly as they will not have a record of your order.
