FAQ

What is the range that it picks up motion?

The maximum motion detection range is approximately 30 feet from the Wired Floodlight camera.

Does this use wifi or an internet cable? Also do the cameras themselves still use batteries?

The Wired Floodlight Camera uses a Wi-Fi connection. As for power, the Floodlight and Camera are connected together in one piece. Due to this, it will run completely off of the power from your home and won't be able to use batteries.

How does this compare to the blink outdoor 3rd gen + floodlight besides being wired?

Aside from the Wired flood light being wired, this new product has a few new available features for subscription users. This includes a built-in Siren, enhanced motion detection with people detection, and brighter lights than the wireless version.

Can you turn the siren off if you don’t want it?

The siren can only be activated manually when doing a live-view stream. It will stay off until you press the button to activate it. It is a completely optional feature if you do not wish to use it.

Can the light stay on (dusk to dawn) or motion only?

Yes, the Wired Floodlight camera's lights can stay on from dusk to dawn, or when motion is detected.

Can the floodlight motion sensor be utilized without the Blink system being armed?

The Floodlight Camera will need to be armed in order for the motion detection to work.

Can the light be controlled separately from the camera, so that the lights can be controlled via app or routine even if the camera is disarmed?

Yes, the lights can be controlled separately from the camera and can be turned on or off within the Blink app. Also, yes! The light can be controlled via the Alexa app and through the use of routines in Alexa; even if the camera is disabled.

Returns and Refunds

Items may be exchanged or returned for a full refund, less any vendor shipping and handling costs, up to 14 days after they have been delivered. When returning your item, please contact us for a prepaid return shipping label.

To be eligible for a refund, the item must be returned in its original condition and original packaging within 14 days of receipt.

If the item is not in its original condition and packaging, we can only accept a return if the item is defective.

If you received a damaged or defective item we can replace the item for you free of charge. Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.
