FAQ

What is the difference between this and other USB lamp sockets?

Users can leave the power switch on all the time, but the light doesn’t need to be stayed on all the time, to save power. The light will be turned on when a motion or person is detected.

How do I link multiple lamp sockets together?

Turn them all on (up to 5) within 30 seconds and they will find themselves, link, and form a group. Once they form a group, you can control each lamp socket in the group at the same time.

How many Wyze Cams can be connected?

Only 1 (one) Wyze Cam v3 per lamp socket.

Does it support multiple outdoor fixture lights?

Yes absolutely. All sockets are connect wirelessly and can be turned on/off simultaneously. We currently support up to 5 lamp sockets linked in one group.

Do I need extra cables to connect it to a Wyze Cam?

No, each Wyze Lamp Socket comes with a dedicated cable to connect to a v3. Do not use any other Wyze Cam v3 cable.

Does it work with other Wyze cameras?

No, it does not support Wyze Cam v1/v2 or Wyze Cam Pan v1/v2 because they are not rated for outdoor use. Wyze Cam Outdoor is also not supported because the USB cable is not designed to support this camera, and would compromise the camera’s built-in waterproofing.

Can I use it without a Wyze Cam?

No, you must have at least one Wyze Cam v3 connected to the lamp socket.

Is it compatible with my light fixture?

We currently support E26 sockets. (Link to E26 vs E12)

How far can my light fixtures be apart?

Up to 82 feet (25 meters) apart.

Do I always need to keep the power to the lamp socket on?

Yes, you must keep the switch that powers the lamp socket on at all times. You can use the Wyze app to turn the light on/off, set a schedule for it to turn on/off automatically, or have the light triggered by motion.

Is Wyze Lamp Socket weatherproof?

No, it is not weatherproof or IP-rated. It is UL rated for Damp Locations, and must be protected from direct rain and water.

Does it come with a lamp or light fixture?

No, neither the starter kit or expansion kit includes a lamp.

Can I schedule my lights to turn on/off?

Yes, you can schedule the light to turn on/off in the Wyze app.

How does the motion-trigger feature work?

We use the advanced motion detection from Wyze Cam v3 to detection motion and turn on your light.

Shipping and Delivery

We offer free shipping within Canada on all orders.

To determine when your order will ship from our Mississauga warehouse, please refer to the Shipping and Delivery sections on product's webpage.

Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with a tracking number that will let you view more details about the status of your order.

Returns and Refunds

Items may be exchanged or returned for a full refund, less any vendor shipping and handling costs, up to 14 days after they have been delivered. When returning your item, please contact us for a prepaid return shipping label.

To be eligible for a refund, the item must be returned in its original condition and original packaging within 14 days of receipt.

If the item is not in its original condition and packaging, we can only accept a return if the item is defective.

If you received a damaged or defective item we can replace the item for you free of charge. Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

Some items may not be eligible for a refund or may only be eligible for a refund if they are unopened, unused and sealed due to vendor restrictions. Please review the item's webpage on our website to view these restrictions.

Due to the unique nature of the items purchased on our website, we cannot accept returns for items that do not perform as expected due to Canadian compatibility issues or items that do not suit the desired needs of the user.
