FAQs

What’s new with Wyze Scale X? Wyze Scale X is a smooth update to our original Wyze Scale, and includes Baby/Pet Mode, updated heart rate monitoring technology, longer battery life, and a fresh new look in black and white.

What is the age range? 10-100 years old. Anyone can use Wyze Scale X to take their weight measurement, no matter their age. Body composition (Body Fat %, Water %, etc.) is only available for people between the ages of 10 and 100 years old. Children under 10 and seniors over 100 will not be able to access body composition features.

What is the weight range? Wyze Scale X has a weight range of 11-400 lbs (5-180 kg).

Why is it not showing my body composition (Body Fat %, Water %, etc.)? Make sure your personal information (ex. Body Type, Athlete Mode, etc.) settings are correct. To do this, open the Wyze app and tap on your scale then Settings > Users > (your Nickname).

Can I use Wyze Scale X with my shoes on? Yes, but if you step on the scale with socks and/or shoes on, Wyze Scale X will only be able to measure your weight. To take your other body composition measurements (ex. Body Fat %, Water %) you will need to step on the scale with both feet while barefoot.

Can I use Wyze Scale X with wet feet? Not wet, but damp is fine. Wet feet may affect accuracy and make the scale slippery and not safe to use. If wet, wipe down the scale and your feet before stepping on.

Can Body Impedance Analysis (BIA) affect my pacemaker? Yes, BIA may affect your pacemaker. The smart body analyzer in Wyze Scale X circulates a small electric current through your body to calculate your body composition measurements, like Body Fat %. Though the current is weak, it can affect your pacemaker. However, your Wyze Scale X can be used even if you wear a pacemaker or are pregnant. If you turn on the Only Measure Weight setting, the current will be disabled and the scale will not affect your pacemaker. Set the scale to only measure your weight. Unlike other smart scales, Wyze Scale X has a unique feature that lets you disable the BIA measurement entirely to only measure weight. With this option turned on, the scale will not affect your pacemaker. To enable the Pregnancy/Weight-Only Mode: Open the Wyze app and tap Wyze Scale X. Tap on the gear to open Scale Settings. Tap Users, then select your email address to open the Account Info screen. Tap the slider next to Pregnancy/Weight-Only Mode, then Yes to confirm.

How many scales can I add to my Wyze account? As many as you want! There is no limit to how many Wyze scales you can add to one Wyze account. Put a Wyze Scale X in every bathroom, and in your home gym, too.

Why is my body composition data different from what I see at the gym, doctor, etc.? Home-use smart scales are designed for reference. Wyze Scale X uses bioelectric impedance analysis (BIA) to estimate body composition, particularly body fat. BIA is a popular method to estimate body fat percentage, but there are many other methods available. While a good estimate, the data calculated by your Wyze Scale X may vary from those given by professional-grade medical instruments or methods.

How do I factory reset my Wyze Scale X? On the back of your scale, find the UNIT button under the battery cover. Press and hold this button for 3s until the LED display shows "Clr".

Can I use Wyze Scale X on carpet? No, only use the scale on a hard, flat surface like tile or hardwood flooring before use. Carpets and rugs can affect the calibration of your scale, giving you inaccurate measurements.

Should I use Wyze Scale X if I'm pregnant? Consult your physician first. By default, Wyze Scale X sends a weak (and safe) electric current through the body for Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA). There are no known risks with using BIA while pregnant, but body composition results may not be accurate. Set the scale to Pregnancy/Weight-Only Mode to only measure your weight, and disable the BIA measurement entirely.

What is the Bluetooth® connection range? Based on our testing, Wyze Scale X has a Bluetooth® range up to 32 feet (10 meters) when clear of physical obstacles or the other wireless devices.

Do I have to do anything after replacing the batteries? Yes, open the Wyze app and connect to your scale. When you replace the batteries, the time on the scale resets. Connecting to it in the app will sync up the time.

Can two people own two separate scales and share data? No, as each user can only access their measurements within their own Wyze account. However, while you are not able to share your data within the Wyze app, we do support exporting your data via email. This will allow you to export your data into a spreadsheet to share with your healthcare professional, fitness coach, etc.

I don’t want to share my data. Can the scale recognize me and only send my data to me? Yes, even if you have other family members on your Wyze account, your scale measurements will only be sent to your user profile in the app. Wyze Scale X is able to differentiate up to 8 user’s measurements as long as their weight difference is greater than 13.2 lb with the app closed, or greater than 6.6 lb with the app open.

Does the Wyze app have to be open while using the scale? No, the app does not have to be open. Step on the scale with the app closed, and the scale will store your data until you connect to it with your phone. Once connected via Bluetooth®, the scale will sync and upload your measurements to the app.

Will the scale still send my data to my phone if someone else connects to it first? Yes, if you’ve taken your measurements with the Wyze app closed, the scale will store your data until you connect to it with your phone. Even if someone else steps on it and connects to it first, your measurements will not be shared and will only go to your user profile.

Shipping and Delivery

We offer free shipping within Canada on all orders.

Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with a tracking number that will let you view more details about the status of your order.

Returns and Refunds

Items may be exchanged or returned for a full refund, less any vendor shipping and handling costs, up to 14 days after they have been delivered. When returning your item, please contact us for a prepaid return shipping label.

To be eligible for a refund, the item must be returned in its original condition and original packaging within 14 days of receipt.

If the item is not in its original condition and packaging, we can only accept a return if the item is defective.

If you received a damaged or defective item we can replace the item for you free of charge. Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

Some items may not be eligible for a refund or may only be eligible for a refund if they are unopened, unused and sealed due to vendor restrictions. Please review the item's webpage on our website to view these restrictions.

Due to the unique nature of the items purchased on our website, we cannot accept returns for items that do not perform as expected due to Canadian compatibility issues or items that do not suit the desired needs of the user.
