This product is very easy to install and set up. It will take about 10-20 minutes for installation and setup in most cases.

Is Wyze Garage Door Controller compatible with all garage door opener models? How can I check the compatibility of my garage door opener?

Are other Wyze camera products like Wyze Cam v2 or Wyze Cam Pan v2 compatible with Wyze Garage Door Controller?

No, Wyze Garage Door Controller is currently only designed to work with Wyze Cam v3. Wyze may support more camera models in the future but won't promise it at this time.

How many garage door openers can Wyze Cam v3 Garage Door controller control and connect to?

Your Wyze Cam v3 Garage Door Controller can only control one garage opener motor. If you have multiple doors, you will need multiple controllers and cameras.

Can I use it outdoors?

No, Wyze Garage Door Controller is designed for indoor-use only.

Will I get notified when my garage door opens or closes by using the Wyze app?

Yes, you will be notified when your garage door is opened and closed. You can also be notified when the door is left open for your chosen amount of time. You can always turn the notifications off in Settings if you would prefer not to have them.

If I use the original wall button or original remote clickers to open and close the garage door, will I get notifications from the Wyze app? 

Yes, all garage door movement will generate a notification and be recorded. This includes methods for controlling your garage door other than the Wyze app.

Why is there a QR code sticker in the materials?

Your Wyze Cam v3 uses the QR code sticker and AI technology to detect the open/closed status of your garage door. This allows us to provide features like garage door notifications, door event history, scheduling, etc.

Why do you call the controller-only pack a "replacement part kit"?

In order to comply with UL325 labelling requirements, Wyze can’t claim that the controller-only pack can work with any Wyze Cam v3 because they don’t have the required garage door warning message printed on the existing Wyze Cam v3 packages. For legal reasons, this is Wyze telling you this product is only to be used with a Wyze Cam v3 that came in the original Wyze Garage Door Controller bundle package. These replacement parts are available in case you need to replace pieces of the Wyze Garage Door Controller Bundle that you definitely previously purchased. Wyze will never tell you to use this with a regular Wyze Cam v3. Those warnings that tell you about the dangers of operating garage doors are a necessity...

Am I still able to use my existing garage door openers, remote, in-car Homelink button, and keypad with Wyze Garage Door Controller installed?

Yes, you are still able to use your existing openers, remote, in-car HomeLink button, and keypad.

Is the Wyze Cam v3 included in the garage door controller bundle the same as the standard Wyze Cam v3?

The Wyze Cam v3 from the garage door controller bundle is slightly different from a standard Wyze Cam v3. The USB cable design now has a signal shielding layer to avoid possible interference with garage door clickers. This garage door controller version of Wyze Cam v3 has a round-shaped USB cable in the back, while the standard Wyze Cam v3 has a flat-shaped USB cable. Other than that, all other parts and specifications are exactly the same. If you use a Wyze Cam v3 with a flat-shaped USB cable, please mount the camera further away from the garage opener antenna to avoid signal interference.

Returns and Refunds

Items may be exchanged or returned for a full refund, less any vendor shipping and handling costs, up to 14 days after they have been delivered. When returning your item, please contact us for a prepaid return shipping label.

To be eligible for a refund, the item must be returned in its original condition and original packaging within 14 days of receipt.

If the item is not in its original condition and packaging, we can only accept a return if the item is defective.
